JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As staff for the work operation, you will have direct contact with our clients in the prison's production. In your daily interactions with the inmates, your work will contribute to the clients' learning and also encourage them to reflect on their situation.

After an introduction, you will be responsible for the daily operations. You will plan, allocate work, and ensure that our deliveries are made on time. You will also participate in the production work yourself. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for production planning. Furthermore, you will help maintain security in the prison, which includes controlling dangerous items, conducting searches, and overseeing the inmates' behavior while assessing performance-based pay. Quality control and documentation are part of the job.

In the production at Hällby Prison, we work with light assembly and packaging of plastic components.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have the ability to make correct assessments and priorities. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages based on the recipients' conditions. You should also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires it.

To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed high school education in the form of a diploma or equivalent education and work experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Work experience in a supervisory role within production or industrial work.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Work experience from the production unit within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Relevant work experience in assembly and/or packaging.
• A strong safety awareness regarding both the work environment and client safety.
• Knowledge of treatment work and understanding of its significance and role in the implementation of the inmates' sentences.
• Forklift license.
• Driver's license (B).
